Drinking Guinness in the depths of Siberia

Yesterday had a couple of pints of Guinness (tasted lovely, not like that nasty Canadian stuff) in a fake Irish pub, "The Stone House" in Novosibirsk; also had Irish Stew which, though delicious, was just like the authentic Russian stew that I'd had the evening before in Omsk. No matter - warm and tasty and filling. Then back to hotel and slept and slept and slept and slept and still felt like crap this morning when I woke up -- because I'm dehydrated as always, I suppose.

Still no accomodation arranged in Irkutsk -- might have to actually phone some places rather than trying to use email...
